This paragraph does not apply to EQUIPMENT and UTENSIL cleaners and SANITIZERS that are stored in WAREWASHING areas for availability and convenience if the materials are stored to prevent contamination of FOOD, EQUIPMENT, UTENSILS, LINENS, and SINGLE-SERVICE and SINGLE-USE ARTICLES. Observed the overstock shelf in the back room to be a mix of food items and cleaning/ medicine items stored together. Food and chemicals items are to be stored below and completely separate from food items. Chemical items were moved. COS |

6-501.111 (A) (B) (D): The PREMISES shall be maintained free of insects, rodents, and other pests. The presence of insects, rodents, and other pests shall be controlled to eliminate their presence on the PREMISES by:
(A) Routinely inspecting incoming shipments of FOOD and supplies;
(B) Routinely inspecting the PREMISES for evidence of pests;
(D) Eliminating harborage conditions. Observed some mice dropping behind the medicine retail shelf. Facility did let me know that they had a huge issue with mice and have been working on cleaning and the removal of pest from the facility. This was the only area that was observed to have any evidence. Facility overall is doing a good job of cleaning, but need to continue to clean and monitor traps and all outer openings to stay on top of the issue. Area was cleaned. COS |
